Just got back!
We had a great time. I really like these two day "festival" races. We tried to do as many things as we could fit in.
The last bit of the run was brutal! I was really pushing and when I saw the transition come into view I was trying to reach it with the last of my energy, but then we turn hard left and run another couple hundred yards in soft beach sand? GAAAA!Surprised

Beautiful race area and a great cause. I'll be back next year!

Great race everyone!

Great venue too.  I love the South Beach races (I think its that lack of sewage smell during the swim and/or bike).

Was able to raise almost $1100 for St. Jude's as well.  So a win-win for me!

Congrats on raising the $$ for a such a great cause Wink

Yeap, it has been a while since I have done any swimming in key biscayne, does it still smell like a toilet? lol

Early in the AM, the water at Crandon smells like a toilet, and the bike route up Virginia Key road smells like a toilet (regularly).  The Marine Stadium area doesn't smell though so the races that go out of there (MIT) are fine.
