Bwahahahaha!

40-44 is always a big age group.  It was the only 4 year agre group at the HIM I just did that had a wave unto itself.  I call it the mid-life crisis age group.  "I gotta prove I'm not old... I know, why don't I sign up for that there triathlon thing"

Hey, I was in that AG. I get to move up this year. Hopefully, all the mid-lifers have moved on to golf.

There's definitely some of that....

Even more so at Eagleman this year..Just did the counting - 385 middle aged men in the 40-44 age group! Hopefully a good 100 won't show up..the water and bike course will be crowded

Every year rain happens to surface during race weekend!  Looks like Saturday's rain will make the transition area nice and muddy for us all come race morning.  Hopefully the 60% chance of T-storms and rain holds off until Sunday afternoon/evening.  Nonetheless, always look forward to this race each year!  Can't wait!

Going to pick up my packet around 11.

Threw on a newer tire on the rear wheel since it had seen better days.  Not brand new, so it will be partially scrubbed especially since it will be a wet one in the morning!

Looking to survive the swim and will be starting back of the pack on the right side.  If my medical issue fires up big time I want to be close to a place to get out quickly.

Heading over at 11 or 12 myself. I'll be wearing red Under Armour Macca gear tomorrow. Good night sleep last night and hopefully a nap today. I know I'll sleep horribly tonight.

Anyone else think the race shirt looks kinda like an old Skynyrd t-shirt?

What's the word on that post-race brunch I heard about?

Wishing everybody a good and safe race tomorrow.  Everybody starts before me so you're all probably in bed already.

Can't say I like the forecast but maybe they'll be wrong.

Im 1785, starting late and working tonight, so my good luck wishes may not be seen by any until after the race, but here they are, hope everybody does well.

After the race, I am thinking about going to the Nats-O's game depending on the weather. If anybody else wants to go email me. strates at gmail dot com I'll check my mail before I leave centennial.
