lextek - 2010-06-06 4:30 PM Woke up at 4:00am to pouring rain here in Farmington. Checked a couple weather sites again didn't look promising. Wasn't looking forward to standing in the rain with the family waiting for the race to start. I played the wimp card and stayed home. At 8:30 the rain stopped here in Farmington. I haven't seen any posts about the race. Man I feel like such a wimp. I did go fishing and caught two nice bass, let them go. When is Mini-Musselman?????
That is too bad you missed a great race day! Mini-Musselman is July 10 and is sold out.

I really like this race, and the organization is exceptional. The food afterwards is the best I've had. I just wish the state would get the bike course fixed up--it's a mess and I know it slowed me down.
It was my first tri at the Olympic distance, and while it was tough, I'll be back!
Just get that road fixed, NYS!!!!

Well it turns out it might have been a good thing I didn't go to the race Sunday. End of last season I ws dealing with Achilles tendonitis in my right leg. Last week on a trail run a felt a twing in the left Achilles. I laid off running for a week and iced. Went for a run yesterday and didn't make it a mile and a half and had pain in the left leg. Here we go again. I'll take it easy until Mini-Musselman ( already signed up). At 49 am I this frail?

Musselman should be a good weekend. I will be there on Friday and will race the half on Sunday as a warm-up for IMLP. Good luck and heal fast!!
