Tom (bananatoes) has thrown down the gauntlet. He has challenged my manhood. And I do not take these things lightly. Therefore I have accepted his challenge. The winner of this contest shall be the one who races the manly-ist triathlon whilst wearing a pink racing kit. Some men would be ashamed just to wear spandex in public, but not Tom and I. No, we relesh wearing spandex so much that the thought of wearing pink spandex in public has us practically giddy with excitement!

This thread will be dedicated to this contest. A place for Tom and I plan. A place to sling mud, to question each other's manhood. And sometimes a place to question our own (you all should feel free to get involved as well).

It's Titan against Titan in the MANLY MEN PINK RACING KIT CHALLENGE!

I have always said the pink Planet-X kit and bike is hot! I see nothing wrong with guys in a pink kit, hell, I'd even wear one, but you should add a leg-shaving rule to the contest too!

I'll definetly be watching the fun on this one, good luck to both of you! Are you guys racing any of the MERCRS series?

The winner shall be the Manly-ist man in the pink racing kit.

See page 8 of this thread for the beginnings of the challenge.

the speedo website has some pinkish true speedos. They are considered to be water polo speedos. Water polo players have some interesting taste

Oooh custom swim wear - does that mean they can do customized silk screening? I think Manly Man silk screened across the azz of the speedo would be an appropriate addition hee hee hee.

True Speedos 'eh? I should note that I'm no longer in Ironman shape. In fact, I'm about 20lbs outside of Ironman shape. And Ironman shape, in my case, was still quite round to begin with. But I'll wear a pink speedo, WTH.

Wadda think Tom, should we try to get some modest donations for a charity for this? Maybe a few hundred bucks for the breast cancer charity- or some charity that is near and dear to you.

I think this is an awesome idea.  Especially the donating to charity thing.  I'd donate!  You just need to tell us all what race to be at to see this wonderful hilarious event

It has to be speedos, it just has to be. I would also open it to anyone who would like to put themself up for ridicule for towards a charitable end. I work in a cancer clinic so I am sure I could get donations and plenty of interest. I will look for local cancer charities in the Columbus/Dayton/Ohio area to keep the money local and going to local patients. What event should we unveil at? We should pick a local columbus/dayton area sprint/oly to target.

Alice's training and races take priority this year as she's training for the REV 3 full, so I don't have alot of races to choose from.  Here are the dates and races that may work for me:

June 6, Deer Creek Tri-HFP (maybe, I'd have to double check. Alice said she has something going this weekend but there's nothing on the calendar)

July 18, Antrim Park Tri- Fat Rabbit (Tom, I'd put you up this one)

August 22, GBC- HFP (Again, this one is a maybe. My best friend may be getting married on the 21st, but the date is not set yet.)

Sept 26, Toyota Challenge- HFP

Do any of these work for you?

I am already registered for Deer Creek Oly so I will be there
I could probably do Antrium since July is a light race month (only have caesars creek on the schedule)
The spint or mini distance at GBC could work. That might be nice since that one is normally pretty hot. I am going to do the rev3 half so I need to check schedules to make sure that isnt too close.
I would probably decline the toyota as late september is no speedo time - shrinkage would be too much of a factor

double daves- the choices on www.splish.com are quite delightful. Although I do not see a solid pink speedo, I see several with many pink influences and designs. I am feeling more manly already. What is the official moniker for the race? The Manly Man Charity Challenge? I told one of our physicians about it about he couldnt stop laughing (thats good right?). I intend, once I pick out my swim wear, to either take a picture of it and create a donation page to hand out or hang up the actual swimwear in our breakroom to describe the intent.

Oh, my. Oh, my. I just went to the website. I must have the Men's Pink Shimmer Briefs.

They will be mine, oh yes, they will be mine.

I also must practice riding in them to get my A-B-C ready.

I'm working on getting my Miami entry fee transferred for the Deer Creek Oly.

Have you ordered the pink shimmers yet? What do you think of the tops I sent you the link for?
