Being a dog would be awesome. You never worry about things, you are always excited about even the possibility of doing ANYTHING! (car ride? alright! go outside? woo hoo! someone's coming over? yippee!) You get to make a toy out of EVERYTHING (balls, chew toys, tug toys, socks, underwear, used sanitary pads, books, tables....). You can lick yourself (of course, after that little visit to the vet, that may no longer be as exciting...). And pretty much if it fits in your mouth, it counts as food. Dog food, people food, fish food, cat food, cat poop, used sanitary pads, horse poop, grass... |

He smells his own farts and human farts. As soon as he lets one rip, he'll start sniffing at the source. It's hilarious. My dog, Bama, does the same thing. She toots, then immediately licks the source. Her's always smell like fish food. You named your dog after the president? |

My dog does the same thing, even to the extent of once jumping up and barking at his own fart...it is the funniest thing I have ever seen! I would love to catch it on video. It has occurred to me that maybe when he does this it is his way of denying responsibility...like "if I bark and act bewildered by the noise, she won't know it was me". That possibilitity is even more hilarious! In dog middle school, this is also known as "He who smelt it, dealt it". |

Master 2946 Centennial, CO | Subject: RE: Why don't dogs smell farts? I have two issues with my dogs and farts. 1. Why is it that everytime they go up the stairs, climb on the couch or climb on the bed you hear something that sounds like a balloon leaking quickly.... 2. My old bloodhound will snore and fart opposite to each other. Snore, toot, snore, toot. Pretty soon the wife and I are exiting the bedroom.... |

Regular 283 | Subject: RE: Why don't dogs smell farts? Before we lost Picasso the Great Dane, he would sleep on his pillow in my wife's office. She is an inside sales rep so would call customers and be on 20-30 minute calls daily. And then Picasso would rip one. When a Dane farts, it impacts the house, not just the room, and my poor wife would be stuck, just have to keep going with her sales call, just trying not to pass out. Once my Mom blamed our dog for one. I said Mom, Bandit is outside. She hit new shades of red after that one..... |

I actually named him after Mojo Jojo, the evil supervillain monkey of the cartoon The Powerpuff Girls. It is especially fun to call him with a deep growling tone, the way that Mojo Jojo talks. |

Give me your address and I'll send one of my post chilli farts in a jar. Not only will your dog smell it, but your neighbours dog will come over to see what the fuss is all about!
