That tracker thing is awesome!

His splits are terrific!  Hope the run holds up for him cause he's well on the way to making his pre crash goal!!

Back from the race went pretty well died at the end of the run but just walked the water stations the last 5 miles so pretty good. I had hoped to make it to mile ten before walking aid stations but I'll take it, No idea on time I think it going to be around 6:20 had hoped for sub 6 but really going to have to improve run before thats going to happen. Fun race but really hurt at the end I have some serious pain today in my left knee did loosen up some as I moved around today but hopefully nothing big. Thanks again for all the support.

Good race report Kip.  It looks like you did well on the bike...maybe even hammered it.  I'm wondering if that played a role on your run...that and it had to have been pretty warm by then.  Running in the heat always knocks the crap out of me.

Congratulations again on your race.  You should be very proud of that time and your effort.

I thought I had a set back yesterday, was kind of bummed out.  My PT checked that area out really well today.....he didn't feel any new tears which was relief.  We are thinking that the flexi bands may have been a little too soon.  He still thinks I might lose the boot next week after seeing my ortho again.  (Relief!!)

Glad to hear it was nothing that set you back.  For the sake of your sanity I hope you're out of the boot soon!

I know Scotty has Branson 70.3 this weekend.  Any other racers?  Anyone else have fun plans?

My Saturday will be full of football watching, snacking, napping, and beer drinking.  The perfect start to my offseason

So I had Ironman Branson 70.3 this weekend. I am going to say that I come from a flat state, where if i do a 1000 feet of ascending and descending, I consider that my hill work out ride! This bike course had 7000 feet of ascending and descending and I could tell you it was tough. There was not a flat stretch on this ride at all. It was either up or down the whole way. Overall I was happy with my time, 5:56:06. My swim was good, bike was faster than Kansas, and my run was  a little slower, but I was expecting that after the hills on the course. My time was only 7 minutes off of kansas 70.3 time, so I think overall my training was quite well for this race. My race report will follow here shortly.
