It was great to meet Jen and Dan, sorry we didn't get to chat more at the end Dan. My wife had a great time, she was really beat. My only disappoint ment was that the photographer did not stick around to get finishers phots of her and some of the other people. One woman in particular, Sunny was in last place, but she hung tough and saw it through right to the end. If anyone knows her her give her a big hug from me and tell her congrats.
BTW does nayone know when the results are going to be posted, I have gone to the site several times and Nada.

What a great race! The weather was perfect and everyone looked so happy. I had a PR of 1:04:49 and my wife took 3rd place in here AG 30-34. It was great to meet you, Dano! I look forward to Tidewater in three weeks. Anyone in here going to do it also?

Matt, Good job on the PR. I got one too and finished MOP for my AG 40-44. Overall great race this year. Your wife did great too. I am afraid to check her times against mine because she may have beaten me. My only consolation is that you two are 2 AGs below me so I don't have to compete with youSmile.

Enjoy tidewater and let us know if there are any jellyfish. I am doing the Tavern next. It is my favorite race.

I also managed to knock 30 seconds off of last years time, and I moved up one place. Still BOP, but I am making progress.

Tom, you and your wife are my heroes. Starting this sport in your 50s is a tough ride. Great job on your improvement. Hope to see you again this summer.

I did a bit of analysis on the estimated vs. actual swim times. I only looked at the estimated times less than 6:00 minutes. There were 194 althletes in that group, me included.
1 was right on (actual = estimate)
33 overestimated their swim times (actual < estimate)
160 underestimated their swim time (actual > estimate)

The average underestimate was 34 seconds which mean one or more swimmers behind these 160 athletes may have been inconvenienced. The largest error was almost 3 minutes.
