Survivor 50610 spoiler stuff (Page 2)

Perhaps Colby and James will be reminders to future Survivor hopefuls...do not go into this show with a low body fat %.  It rarely ends well. 

I've got my fingers crossed Russell can miraculously stay safe this week.

I don't think it has to do with low body fat, I mean James was destroying everyone until his knee popped. He would have kept doing so if his ligaments had held firm. Tom won the whole thing while in great shape, there was that fighter pilot that nearly made the finals too...I don't think it's low body fat so much as functional strength instead of being a gym pretty boy(those guys always flame out early).

Good point JBrashear.  Perhaps those with hypertrophied fast-twitch muscle fibers are at a disadvantage...we need a Beginner Triathlete to get on there and kick some butt!
Tom was in good shape, but he didn't start as lean as James and Colby.  All that muscle tissue requires energy...energy that isn't on these islands or in these jungles in quantities that will support them. 
Big agreement on the functional strength...a 250 pound bench press isn't going to help in a lot of these challenges.

Remember the outdoorsy teacher(Bob) that won the million a couple seasons ago? That dude wore tri shorts the whole time.

I agree on the Colby thing.  The girls will want to keep him around as eye candy and a mule till they can survive the last few days.  I think he is playing that, staying in the jury's good graces and will soon kick it up 10 notches in the challenges.  If he can run the last few challenges, he will make it to the final 3.

Russell is toast unless he wins a challenge (not gonna happen) or an idol (not gonna happen).  Him and Paverti are the next two I predict.  The rest are done with them and they are too big a threat now.  I think everyone want's Jerri with them in the end.  No love for that girl anywhere.

You always want a bad guy with you at the end to say to the jury that "you are all sitting there and not winning because of this guy, not me."

He was a physics teacher and won because he was smart in challenges not really physically strong. 

Sure, but he had good stamina & that guy screamed 'triathlete' to me....or at the very least, a cyclist.

^^^^ this is what might save Russell. Others thinking they want to take him to the end because no one will vote for him (and they might be right).

Or..... he plays the Richard Hatch. "Hey, this is a game, the goal is to be the last one standing, everyone knows that going in. I played it brilliantly. I deserve the $$ for the way I played, even if it meant voting you off. Danielle/Colby/Rupert/Sandra? a hanger on....." Course, if it's Russell and Parvati, they both can claim that.

He tried that last year & came in 2nd.

True, but you'd assume these "pros" may have a different perspective on it.

It will be interesting to see if he is still claimed to be the Best Survivor Player Ever if he doesn't win (or worse, gets voted out this week)

Point taken...though I only think the villain 'pros' would buy that.

Remember guys, this show was taped prior to the final 'live' episode of last season.  So Russel knew then if he made the final three on Heroes v. Villains.

Thats why I've said from the beginning he makes it to the final 3.  He wouldnt ask for the title if he knew he was getting booted in HvV.  He probably thought/think he's got a shot at beating the pro's too. 

And the jury last season - just a bunch of bitter people full of spite who couldn't accept they got completely outplayed last season.  Russel had a hand in voting everyone out last year when they went after him or thought about it.  HE is the reason why HE and Natale were there - Natale did nothing but let Russel do the dirty work and play the game.  IMO - Natale took over the title of least deserving winner from season 2's Tina last year.

I think Russel's move to the guys is brilliant.  They are desperate, and will follow his every direction just to stay another week.  PLUS he can start to get rid of some of the other people that may have started planning against him (the "girl alliance").

BTW,  Can't wait to see Danielle cleaned up...

I'm an idiot!  I think I've heard the chronology at least ten times, but it's not soaking in.  I need a USA Today timeline illustration.

Honestly, "the greatest Survivor" is totally subjective...I can objectively say, for me, he is the most entertaining Survivor of all time, bar-none.

It breaks down like this:

Russell tapes Survivor Soma
Russell tapes Survivor Hero v. Villians
While taping HvV, Soma airs
Russell tapes final live epsoide of Soma
Russell begs Natalie for title, Natalie declines
HvV begins to air
Russell is arrested for pushing a mouthy girl to the ground outside a bar

Russell gets voted off in next weeks episode? Or is it Parvati?

OK, is it just me, or am I the only one that thinks ratty haired haven't washed in a month island girl is always hotter than the vampy made up for TV version? I was sooooo, disappointed when they showed Amanda at the finale.

I'm the same with Kate on Lost. The loose hair, dirty shirt look is so much hotter than the cover girl commercial look.

Chris, if 'stash is shorthand for "fake rack," yeah.  
I'm gonna agree with ya Chris.  Makeup doesn't do anything for me.  A woman confident in her own skin is 100% more sexy.

btw, Dave, thanks for the timeline...but I sure hope the last entry doesn't happen!

I will say I like the natural look, but not the armpit hair...I've got my limits.
