Subject: RE: PLEASE DON'T PUT TOUR RESULTS IN THE TITLE First of all the rudeness on my part was a response to being attacked through someone else’s carelessness. Being called a “spiteful jackass” out of someone else’s obvious frustration is not warranted or polite, perhaps they should ‘take a pill’ as you say. They clicked on my thread that was entitled “Day 1 of the Tour” which was posted a couple hours after the results were broadcast on OLN and got mad to read the results of the TT. If someone does not want to read about the Tour de France results, the please do not go to an online discussion based forum after the race has already taken place and then click on a thread that is clearly titled “Day 1 of the Tour.”
I understand the frustration some have had over the results being posted in the subject line of a new thread and I agree that including that lacks a basic level of courtesy, that’s not giving someone the option of watching for themselves to find out the outcome. I did not post it that way. I did however include the results of the day’s race inside my thread, since as I previously stated, it was intended to be a discussion of just that. My thread was not hijacked by someone wanting to spoil the tour for anyone. You must not have read the thread I posted I’m assuming since your post didn’t seem to make sense contextually. 'Common courtesy' would be for you to read the threads before posting on them in a defensive manner.
Now if I misunderstood some of this I do apologize, and my intention was not to stir anything up but to respond to the person who had accused me of contributing to ruining part of his, and perhaps others, experience of the tour. It was never my intention to do so.
