There's only one place where the Lombardi trophy should be presented-- in Lombardi's stadium, LAMBEAU FIELD!

I hope it's 20 degrees and snowing, with sustained winds of 40mph.

Bad idea.

I know I have nothing to worry about, but as a Browns fan, if and when that SB drought ends, it will probably be in a cold weather city. Indy in 2012 or NY/NJ in 2014 seem about right. I get enough of the cold weather games as it is.

I think that's the average temp for that time of year.

While I usually say the super bowl should rotate between San Diego, Miami, & New Orleans.  I'm glad they are playing it in those conditions. It will either be greatness or fail so badly they will never have it outside again.

The game is for the fans, but face it, the Superbowl is for the Corporate sponsors and those with serious $$$.  I was the exception a few times in attending over the years and the cell phone crowds who normally attend are goign to be pretty interesting to watch show up.   Bet half of them don't make it out of the heated VIP tents aroudn the stadium.   Good note is that maybe the price will come down and true fans can go see there teams play.  Have to admit, it is nice having it come to South Florida, but I like the idea.   At least from the view I will have on my couch that day.

Well, last year hell froze over during the SuperBowl, so I think we can survive a little weather.

Here's a little trivia: of all the SuperBowls played, only two were played outdoors in temperatures less than 50°F. Where was each played?

Just had to find a way to work that into the conversation, didn't you? Good trivia question, but I have no idea.

I know one was in New Orleans at the old Tulane stadium. That was the coldest SuperBowl ever. No idea about the other one.

UrsusAdiposimus - 2010-05-26 11:39 AM I am so psyched for this. It is only fitting that the Jets and Mark Sanchez will win their fourth consecutive Lombardi trophy at their home stadium, thus cementing their role as the dominant NFL team of the 2010's.

This is exactly what will happen and why an NY Super Bowl is going to be so much fun.

I think one of the early Super Bowls was at the Cotton Bowl and was pretty cold.

Both cold weather Super-Bowls were played in New Orleans, and both in the early/mid 70's I believe.

Both at Tulane Stadium, to be exact.
