Subject: RE: Tri suits-How tight should they be?I purchased my first suit via the internet and used the sizing chart on the manufacturer's website. When I received it, I managed to get it on and it was very tight. I knew they were supposed to be a snug fit, so I just wore it around the house one evening to see if I'd get used to it. After about an hour I couldnt' take it any longer and had to remove it. I was concerned that if I couldn't wear it around the house for that long, then the suit would be too uncomfortable and become a distraction during the races. I had the same thoughts, "maybe if I just lose a few pounds," but after giving it more consideration I realized that no matter how much weight I lost, I wasn't going to remove two inches of height from my crotch to my shoulders. Plus my wife pointed out that she could easily tell whether or not I was Jewish. So, I wound up exchanging it for the next size up. According to the sizing chart this thing should just hang on me. However, in real life it is nice and snug yet comfortable enough for me to wear for long periods of time. |
