I'm in! hoping it's not too hot this time. I did this same course a few weeks ago (Texas Man) and it was muggy.

I agree. They said for Texas man it would be raining and it never did. The run course can get really really hot. Wish everyone good luck. See ya there

I'm coming down from Oklahoma for the 2nd straight year, my second Oly. Really enjoyed this race.

I can't seem to find where packet pickup spots are. Can someone post a link please?

Sub-3 hour result would be nice, but more than anything I just want to feel smooth on the course.  I don't want to be 'in difficulty' as the TdF announcers love to say.  I'll take a smooth 3:05 over turning myself inside-out for a 2:59.

I am guessing MOP in my AG based on last years results. My intent is to finish in 2:45, but the biggest question is the run... I can pull an 8:15-8:30 pace for a 10K, but havent tried it yet after a 23 mile bike ... so we shall see how my legs want to handle it and how hot it is during the run .. if I cant maintain that pace, I might be able to crack the top 10 for the first time!

I know, keep dreaming, right?

How far apart are the oly waves & how many are there?


(I'm picking up my packet tomorrow)

Left my packet at home today...but from what I remember there was something like only two men's waves for the Oly - Men 39&under(?) and Men 40&up (?). Last Oly wave was all women doing Olympic. Athena & Clydes start with their AG. It seems there was another wave in there too but for the life of me I can't remember what it was...

Sprint start at 7am and Oly start at 7:20am so I would bet Oly waves are something like 3-4 min apart (I don't remember it saying how far apart in the packet).

Maybe someone can jump in - or I'll check it out later.

Yep, those shirts are PURPLE!!! Dont remember the start times for the OLY waves, just notice that there were 3 ... 39-under male, 40-over male, All female - everyone else
