Anyone racing this on the 4th? I'll MOST LIKELY be there, as I think my wife, her brother, and her sister's hubby will be racing (although none of them seem to be certain). If they're out there, I'll be cheering with my camera. Just wondering if I should be looking for any familiar faces from BT....

I am signed up, but sadly not racing.  I signed up before I signed on with the coach, and she informed me it was too close to the HIM for a long run of that distance.   I have an 80 min run on the calendar for the 4th, which would only sadly get me about 8 miles in.  That would be a looooong cool down walk, so I guess I'll skip it.  I wish we could at least transfer numbers or get deferrals...   I'd even pay a service charge to transfer the number, just to recoup a little and let someone else race that really wants to

run the 8 miles anyways, and just walk it in, you already paid!

I know this is dumb, but I am not sure I want that result on my Athlinks report!  Ha ha.    It already kills me to have a 1.5 hour 7 mile run showing (circumstances!).    If I could add a little note that says why I had the slower result maybe...

I'll be in the BWCA, but good luck to anyone running. Be sure to report back--I'm curious to know how it goes!

Matt will be racing -- I'll be spectating.  Should be fun, as long as it doesn't storm!

Katie, tell Matt to look for me! I'll keep an eye out for him too! And I'll look for you too! (I'm assuming your the "Katie and Matt" that I know, but maybe not....)

Well, it was a WET and HOT one! But besides a few too porta-potties at the start, my wife thought it was a good race. Good aid-stations, enough porta-potties on the course, a medal at the finish, etc, etc. I just put some photos on my blog this morning.

She'd be up for it again next year. I might have to join her too...
