I finished out with another 2 Plus hour mountain bike ride. It has been a strange month but I was glad to be on Sky team.
Let's finish out strong!

I admit I squeezed out the minimum the last two stages.  I was glad my time was already almost made.  Schedules for the two days this weekend made things difficult.  Saturday my options were go out at 5:30 and make sure I was home by 6:30 so my wife could go to an all day women's conference or fit a trainer ride in sometime with all the kids around or lastly, take advantage of having lights and going out after the kids were sent to bed.  I chose option C and while it was short (36 minutes) It was fun, relaxing and cool to be out in the near full moon.  Saw and heard a couple of owls near my turnaround.

Again on Sunday the options were 5:45, trainer some time the end of the day or sneak out when my wife got home from her "Leader BBQ".  She got home in the daylight so I did the same ride as Saturday, on the MTN Bike again but in the daylight.  Was 3 minutes faster.

All that to say, I squeeked in the stages and made it to the Champs E'lysees.  I would almost call my last two stages "Ceremonial"  - Kind of a good thing, I was tired going into the weekend but felt pretty good on the bike tonight.  May not take that rest day tomorrow afterall.

Great tour Team Sky

Sorry about my poor participation...I have really been suffering with depression over the last month and a half...I was hoping that cycling would be a good diversion, but I failed to make it out the door...I also have been stuggling with severe fatigue and a few times that I did make it out I ended up sleeping in my car with the bike on the back.

Again, I'm sorry.

Phew! Finally managed to actually put on the spreadsheet my last ride for the challenge, which puts me over 100% and the team to 86 or 87 I think not shabby at all!

MELons darling, if you see this--I'm so sorry for your troubles, and so glad you came back to share about them--we don't care about the challenge, just about YOU, and hurray for joining in and being able to get out there a bit!
