Me...the Oly.  First time for this race, but have raced on most of this bike course in the Breath of Life Oly the last two years.

My wife is either volunteering with a bunch of folks from the Disney Tri Team or may be getting drafted at the last minute for a relay swim in the sprint.

Yeah, it's almost the exact same bike course as Breath of Life....

Although it is a looping run course which I hate...lol...I always want to finish on the first loop. ; )

Me too, so this year I'm doing the sprint.    I'm also working registration, so don't forget to bring your USAT card and picture ID!

Kind of a minor breakthrough for me today in the Oly:  Appears that I averaged over 22 mph on the bike for the first time at any distance.  (I say "appears" because I'm still not sure of the actual bike course distance...I'm basing this on the 38.5K that the race website listed it as, not the 40K Oly distance, since it definitely was much shorter than that.)

That looks close to what my bike computer had, but it sometimes loses signal for stretches, so I didn't trust it.  So, no 22 mph for me, if that's true (and it probably is).

Funny...just got done writing about the northbound section on Harbor in my race report...

Glad I was looking good:  Depending on when you saw me, I probably wasn't feeling good.  Left calf and Achilles locked up right at 3.4 miles and never let go.  Sucky last 2.8 miles to say the least.

I did the Sprint and finished 9th in my age group. I don't believe the distances for this race are accurate. Regardless, I had a great time racing and socializing afterward

My wife was questioning the swim distance for the sprint based on times for relay teams that some friends were on, but they looked kosher to me if the swim was supposed to be 1/4 mile (fastest non-elite averaged 1:13/100 yds based on a 440 yard course, which is not stellar, but not surprising given the really long run over the beach that was included in the time).  Run was definitely right on...my Garmin had me right at 6.21 miles for the Oly run, which was the sprint X2.

Now the bike...definitely anyone's guess.  Oly bike (two loops) appears to only have been 21.6 miles or so...sprint was probably no more than 11 miles.

I just did the sprint. Glad I found this website though.

Sprint felt good. Sounds like you guys are much faster than I. Hope to catch up though!

My computer had the sprint bike course as advertised.  I think the swim course was very short.  I did it twice -- once in warmup and once in the race.  Just finding where it was deep enough to swim was an adventure.  I had a poor swim (nailed by one wave, nearly run over by kayak with 5 or 6 girls from previous wave hanging on) and walked through the sand -- leftover symptom of compartment syndrome -- and had an 8:30ish split.  Don't think I am that fast, esp. in my post-IM recovery phase!  Doubt it was more than 300m.
