Their formula is put a mildly pretty girl up front, let her scream lyrics and dress skimpy, and back her by a garage band. Yeah, they sold a lot of records, but they suck.

Oh come on now.  You're just jealous that you didn't write deep and meaninful lyrics like "you had a pocket full of horses, Trojan, and some of them used."  Which is not only creepy and gross, but just plain weird.  In fact it might even be better than the line in the song I Wanna Sex You Up, which goes "we can do it til we both wake up"...  I don't even have a clue as to what that means.

blame the lawyers.  he did that b/c of a contract dispute over a record label who said they owned the right to his name.  so he changed his name to a symbol.  plus, what's even cooler than being known by a single name, is being known by the phrase 'the artist formerly known as..."  :-)

Surely you jest! I am not the biggest evanesence fan but you have to admit she has one hell of a voice. And the band is one of the better bands around. Check out their live stuff. Any band can sound good in a studio, it is harder to fake live.

Disclaimer: not really a fan, just thought I would stick up for some good musicians.
