Paradise by the Dashboard Light... - Meat Loaf

I could NEVER stand it.  Still can't.  I couldn't understand the madness people (especially the girls) would go through when it played at parties...

I guess this is very similar to the overplayed thread, but I wanted to be sure not to hijack.

I cannot find the words to describe my reaction to this confession. Are you without a soul?

Anything by Beck. I worked with people younger than me who thought he was a god, and I would listen to him and go, "meh". Ditto Radiohead.

I'll be an overachiever and give you an answer for every decade I've been alive:

70's: "Reunited" (Peaches and Herb) This song was huge when I was a kid, always hated it

80's "Mony Mony" (Billy Idol) Not kidding or trying to be funny, I get physically ill when I hear this song. It makes me nauseous and I have to leave the room, must have had a bad middle school dance experience? Can't remember when it started, but it's awful...Almost like Kramer and Mary Hart's voice

90's: "La Vida Loca" (Ricardo Martin)

00's: The entire Creed catalogue

10's: The ooh oh lala ahah son (Lady Gaga)

I never got this one either. It seemed like it was played every night at a bar in college, and I just didn't understand why people liked it so much.

You could put me down for the whole Meatloaf catalog. Never was would be into Broadway show tunes done in a quai-rock fashion.

Sympathy For The Devil - I could never understand why that monotonous song got so popular.

+1 on Radiohead. I'd heard so many people rave about them that I picked up a few albums. I was sadly disappointed.

Nearly everything by Springsteen.  Which is odd, since I grew up in Jersey, and he became popular when I was in HS. But there are only a couple of songs of his that don't make want to switch off the station.

Led Zeppelin. All of there stuff and other prog rock that is apparently amazing. I just find it dull self indulgent rubbish. 10 minute drum solo. Yawn, stop trying to show off.

And so called RnB. When I were a lad RnB was the sort of stuff that Sam and Dave produced and it stood for Rythmn and Blues. Not rebadged soul music or stuff that is basically a pop tune but to call it RnB is cool.

Mony Mony is the worst song ever made! Totally agree.

I don't like Bruce Springsteen either.

Michael Jackson though, really???? That baffles me. He's one of my favorites!

I never really got the 90s grunge scene.

See, in my opinion here in Ameri-land, it would be the other way around.  I'd say Beck is WAY more popular than Radiohead to the general masses.

But anyhow.

Smells Like Teen Spirit.  Never got that song, never figured out what made Nirvana popular.

Also, any song done by an American Idol contestant.
