I just finished my last 80 mile ride. Got a 3.5 hour run next weekend and just finished a OW swim at Beaverdam. I am absolutely prepared....to be the slowest oldest chick out there. I am really concerned about the second oly...can we have outside assistance to zip up the wetsuits? I know putting on a wetsuit after a ride will add about 20 min to my transition
I have never done a time trial format race so this should be interesting. Doesn't seem to be selling out which is OK by me.

Less than 2 weeks to go. I just finished up my last heavy weekend and now a moderate taper starts. What was everyones goal for this race and what was your typical voulume during the week? I am so worried that I didn't do enough, blah, blah, blah! I am really concerned about the cut off times as I will need every second and then some. Do these folks pull you off the course if you are behind?
Thanks, C

I keep thinking the same thing...did I do enough?  Then I think, "it doesn't matter now anyway."  Tongue out  I had hoped to have my average get faster for each race rather than go out too hard in the first race.

We should have a BT meet up!!!

T-Minus one week.  Starting to get kinda antsy.  I trained for this pretty much as a half IM with as much volume as I could fit, topping out at 14 or 15 hours a week.  I would have liked to have added some more swimming, but hey, alls you can do is alls you can do.  If I can take what I've got and execute a smart race then I'll consider it a success.

I'm a little surprised that the turnout is so small, but there are a lot of races here in the last few weeks.  With so few people racing it is going to be loooooooonely out there on the bike course.  Better make sure to get a good song stuck in your head because there won't be anything else out there to occupy your mind.

Assuming this will be wetsuit legal (and with the recent weather that seems a fair bet), wetsuit or no wetsuit for the second race on Saturday?  My inclination is that the time I'd save with the wetsuit would be less than the time it would take for me to get it on after the bike.  Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

(And have you looked at Accuweather for the forecast next weekend?  Stellar!  Who do I need to pay to make this stay true?)

I'm thinking no wetsuit for second race also.  It will be too cumbersome to get on in the middle of a race.

In talking with others who have done triple t, it sounds like the major issue is something cramping up while trying to get the wetsuit on in T2. I think I will be swimming without a wetsuit in day 2, race 2 unless the tri top they give us balloons up in the water really bad.

I think some of the cramping will be fine with me vs drowning after already doing all that. So wetsuit and "PAM" for me. They were supposed to update info Oct 1 for the race this weekend. I have not seen it..any one else?
Good luck everyone! Weather looks fab! Not even any real wind to speak of, so far by all weather accounts.
Are most folks going to go back to the cabins(mine is off site) between races Sat or hanging around? I think I will hang since I will be needing every min given to get the job done......

Hi Everyone - I'm coming down from Ohio for the White Lake Half on Sunday, good luck to all of you doing the full Triple T - all of the folks I know here in Ohio have really enjoyed the Ohio Triple T but I'm just not at the point of being able to complete the whole weekend so I signed up for the Half (my first one). Do any of you know what the weather will be like and are any of you familiar with the area, is there lots of wind or other known challenges on the course? Thanks for any guidance/insight you all may have.

Highs in the mid 70s, lows in the low 50s.  There wasn't wind the last time I was there.  Super flat and pretty nice area to race.

Awesome event.  That may have been the coolest race I've ever done.  The brilliant weather helped, no doubt.
