Run
Comments: (This template has the order reversed, it was swim then run). The run started out uphill, quite a ways. Saw a bunch of friends who were volunteering on the course. Two loops so the second one was easier since I knew what was coming. Passed people a lot, plus got to see all the athletes numerous times on the course. It was really fun! What would you do differently?: Run faster. More support of the 'girls' since I was sopping wet and the bra was a nonissue....got a LOT of chafing! Transition 1
Comments: Pretty quick transition, just stepped into socks and shoes, grabbed my belt, hat and garmin and took off. Wetsuit came off pretty quickly. What would you do differently?: Nada Swim
Comments: The chop was right into our faces, so that was challenging. It was nothing like Swim For Life's waves, so it wasn't that big of a deal. I just tried to keep good form. One guy fell on me as we were hitting the shore and standing up. Whatever, dude! What would you do differently?: Push a little harder for the short races! Transition 2

Post race
Warm down: Cheered for my friends at the finish, and for others finishing. It was fun, as you had to round a really tight turn into the finish, and it was really full of people cheering. What limited your ability to perform faster: The usual.....my big ass! LOL. Event comments: This race has the potential to be very popular and I hear they make it a series, which would be great. I won a big box of amazing chocolate for placing in my AG! Plus it was sort of all-you-can-eat chocolate at the finish, which ROCKED! I managed to beat my sister, my friend Mike, and my sister's boyfriend! Yay! It was great to meet so many new people and see familiar faces, as well. I love this sport!!! Socialized!!!! So much fun! I knew at least 50 people there, maybe more. It was so awesome to see everyone. This was the first time they've done this event.
Stood in line for a long time to get my number, then went to transition, which had plenty of room, saved spaces for a bunch of my peeps.
Sarah, my LUNA Chix teammate, finally convinced me that we needed a warm up run, so we ran for about 15 min along the lake shore.
