Run
Comments: Not one of my better 5ks. I really don't like 5ks, but this one was organized by a friend. He really did a nice job, lots of effort went into it, and it was well-attended by competitive and recreational runners, always a win. What would you do differently?: Have a little more restful week! Post race
Warm down: Not much of one. Cheered runners in until my friend Darren finished, then we went for oranges and coffee! What limited your ability to perform faster: No speedwork in a few months... Last updated: 2010-09-23 12:00 AM

REALLY HEAVY LEGS today. Yesterday's bike may not have been the best idea race-wise, but I sure had fun doing it. Up early, too early. Whole wheat tortilla w/2 egg whites and jack cheese for breakfast about 5:15, cup of coffee. Picked Darren up at 6:30, at Bond Park by 6:50, at race site by 7am. With a lot of time to kick around before the race.
Hung out with Matt for a bit, walked part of the course with Darren, then I went for a mile run at about 7:45 or so. Tried to get the legs to wake up, but they were pretty much dead.
