High knees and butt kickers, mild stretch.
Swim
  • 45m 7s
  • 1760 yards
  • 02m 34s / 100 yards
Comments:

Swim was brutal, 2-3 foot swells, i first leg of triangle the waves were breaking at my breathing side, second leg right into the waves. I tried to time them but it was not totally ryhtmic like waves in the ocean. Swim was brutal, however I did relax and having a wetsuit was a lifesaver.
What would you do differently?:

More swimming, and swim some more waves/currents.
Transition 1
  • 04m 2s
Comments:

Practice transition with wetsuit, got stuck.
What would you do differently?:

more wetsuit transition time.
Bike
  • 1h 38m 19s
  • 26.5 miles
  • 16.17 mile/hr
Comments:

Pretty decent, considering conditions.
What would you do differently?:

Get a compact crank/steeper rear cassette for hills. Ride more.
Transition 2
  • 01m 47s
Run
  • 1h 08m 13s
  • 6 miles
  • 11m 22s  min/mile
Comments:

Had weird cramp on and off behind my back and under my ribs, i suspect i inhaled too much water on the swim.
What would you do differently?:

Ill be running hills after this.
Post race
Warm down:

Eat, drink, stretch, sit.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Mental, hills, I felt fresh and never went out of aerobic zone.

Event comments:

The race director said this is the toughest tri in the SW region, i laughed inside my head, after the race, i agree. Very tough course. Great satisfaction, there were 57 DNF/DNS. Thats HUGE!!!!
