IMWI this year was my first, and another 140.6 isn't going to be in my budget until at least 2012 - these things ain't cheap! You will love it though - WTC & IM are getting a bad rap these days with prices, etc, but wow... an IM 140.6 is a truly epic experience. Everything about the event was electric - hard to describe until you do one as a racer. I don't know if my next full will be an IM or other (Rev3, B2B, etc), but I'm very happy to have at least the one IM experience. Have fun & please keep us posted! Cheers, Chris |

Volunteering this year gave me a lot different view of the race. I was not happy with my finish time in 2008 and now see what a fool I was. I achieved a much higher level of respect for the distance and the course sitting out on the hills for the bike and watching the 15-17 hour finishers. Can't wait to get training fired up again. |

I'd love to hit up some of the other races, like IMLOU or IMFL. Unfortunately, unless I start pooping $20 bills, the Ironman will be an every-other-year type of thing. Of course, that's still not going to stop me from putting my name in the hat for the Kona lottery. |

Since I had a bad experience in my 1st attempt at IM in Arizona. My first thought was to go back there and exact my revenge. Then I thought it would be nice to do the IMOO local race and have a bunch of my friends there. I tried to register online and could not get in. It is now 10 min before the IM Arizona registration for 2011 goes on sale. I am thinking about it right now. Not sure I want to commit to it. I really would like to do IMCDA or IM Canada. Maybe 2012 for one of those. Decisions, decisions. Bill |
