Comments: Tough run, technical trail, with lots and lots of hills. Mile 1 9.48 2 9.39 3 11.18 4 12.21 5 14.28 6 12.42 7 11.06 8 13.58 9 11.05 10 11.05 11 14.30 12 12.15 13 11.59 0.34 What would you do differently?: My very limited base (averaged less than 10 miles per week in 2010) made this a challenging event. My goal was to finish, not hurt anything, and have a good time. I think I scored on two of the three accounts. Six days after the race, I am still struggling to walk due to foot pain. Post race
Warm down: Walked around, drank some water, then slammed a gatorade I had brought. Tried to stretch, but had some pretty serious cramping issues. What limited your ability to perform faster: Longest run was about 8 miles, averaged about 10 miles per week the last year. Event comments: This is a great trail race - I will be back next year.
