Run
Comments: all I can say is that swimming and aqua jogging and biking are poor subsitutes for running. My CV was a little weak, legs not as strong and my race execution was wicked bad mile 1 6:05 (yeah that was a big problem there waaaay too fast) mile 2 12:50 (starting to lose it) mile 3 21:00 (this would have been about last years pace but instead of feeling great and gaining steam I was losing it) mile 4 28:30 (heel feeling tight and I was out of breath) mile 5 36:27 (just jogging it in getting passed left and right) What would you do differently?: not be injured prior to the race I could run fast for a short period so that is nice to know. Time to take some more time off and rest up the legt for next year. Post race
Warm down: went to perkins and ate omelettes and pancakes until I felt like puking What limited your ability to perform faster: achilles Event comments: Sold out with 8k people, my little hometown with a starting line 2.5 miles from my house on a thanksgiving day - I love this little tradition. aside from walking from the car to the start line and realizing it was too warm and doffing my hat and a few layers in a bush - none
