It's nice to be able to inter-stalk such a great, helpful BT'er and watch him start out with that kind of swim!  GO TJ!!

Looks like Jonathan Brashear (JBrashear on here) is on lap 3 of the bike.

Hi All,

Thanks for the kind words. 1st out of the water (not including the pros who started 20 min earlier) was a nice feather in the cap. The disaster of a bike which created some big problems for the run will be explained later. Right now I have thrown down a challenge with the country of Mexico....I bet that I can drink them out of Corona. They have accepted. Have to set your goals high.  Race report next week

Great swim TJ, would have been could to meet a bunch of you guys, but I have to admit I was pretty nervous before the race. So there was no IMCOZ tracking here on BT? I was looking forward to reading it.

Great job TJ! What were the issues on the bike?

I had some cramping in my hamstrings/hips/butt. At times pretty severe. I think the root of it all was a lowered stem that I didn't notice. Didn't think it could cause such a problem, but that's the only thing I could find different. Will have a RR out soon.

I took that challenge a few times and I failed miserably, I hope you put up a better showing than me

Bummer about the bike, but I hope overall you had a great experience. I've heard great things about the race and if healthy I am hoping to be there next year.

I, like you, failed miserably. But it was a lot of fun trying. Great frickin race. I will be back. Take out the allure of Kona, and I think Cozumel is a better race. Get healthy and have a great time!
