Master  1901    Central, IL |  Subject: Booty Check...I cleaned and prep't my bike for this weekend's race and took it for a test spin. As I pulled in my driveway, my wife followed me in (returning from a grocery store jaunt) laughing. I asked her what was the matter and she told my (two month old) tri shorts were wearing a little thin. I checked things out in the mirror and thin was an overstatement - my ass was on display. My shorts had worn shear. With few shopping options, I may be racing in swim trunks or mountian bike shorts. Anyway...do yourself and others a favor and from time-to-time (unless you're a buff babe).....BOOTY CHECK! Edited by Writebrained 2005-08-03 6:10 PM |

Champion 6285 Beautiful Sonoma County | Subject: RE: Booty Check... hahahaha! I had that happen with my old swim suit. One day, at swim class, my BF kindly told me that it was time for a new suit. Seems the rear had, as in your case, worn completely thin. 2 months doesn't seem like a good thing though. Unless you're wearing them everyday, they should last longer than that. My BF has shorts that are several years old. What brand are they? |

I was a little suprised at the number of people riding in groups that had see thru shorts. If you don't ride with someone who will tell you your hiney's on display, ride with someone who will. I did all three triathlons in an old pair of cycling shorts that were so thin in the rear you could read a newspaper through them. I had one guy yell out to me in passing: "hey, I think it's time fore new shorts!", to which I answered: "wonderful, get me a pair in an extra large size!" |
