Pre-race routine:

Walk to the wife to Metro so she could get to the start of the marathon on time.

Event warmup:

Ran to the 10k location. Waited forever in line for the port-a-potties. Ran to the start line.

Comments:

The course felt like it was entirely uphill, even the obvious downhills. Never felt great during the whole run but managed to run the whole thing even the last brutal hill up to the finish line.

What would you do differently?:

Train more.

Post race

Warm down:

Waited around and waited for the wife to finish the marathon.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training/Smoking.

Event comments:

Huge post race area for sponsors and teams. A few tents for pay for everyone else which were located a half a mile from the finish line. The prebagged post race food at the finish was nice.
