Can I jump in now?  I know I'm 5 weeks behind...but I could stand to lose 10 in 10 (and maybe another 5 after...)  I've gained 15 lbs of squish since my Ironman in Sept. It was hard to get normal eating habits back...

My baseline weigh in is 158lbs at 5'10" and my goal is 140 by June.

Hi sure, everyone is welcome.  There is a spreadshieet in Google Docs you can track on.

Good work to everyone still here.  I am still here, hanging by a thread!  Been a stressful, cold week and have had little motivation.  I need to get on the scale (yikes) and back in the swing of things.  TGIF.  12 mile run tomorrow.  Hows that for a jumpstart?

Good weekend all!

Got to weighin today.  164.  Up 1lb from last weigh in 2 weeks ago.  Last week was high stress low activity.  Not complaining.  Still down about 5 from Xmas and we have what 9 more weeks to go?

I've been battling a cold since Thurs (coughing/congestion), so haven't gotten in any training. Tried going out Sunday, and had to cut my ride short. Hoping to get back in better health soon. Happy that at least I've gotten some weight loss out of all this

Hey All,
so, for those of us who are ....not making as much progress as we want, what is it?
I know for me, it is the afternoons. I am good most of the day, but between 4-7 PM, I snack and eat crap.
If I could avoid the little crap snacks, or even have another salad there, I think I would be OK.
What about you?

I am not an expert by any means but I have found since Christmas changing up my workout times just a little has helped.  Seems I had hit a major wall back in the fall with weightloss but just throwing in a couple of small time tweaks it has assisted somewhat in starting to see some weight come off.  I also started to track my sodium intake a little more closely and cut back just a little there as well.

I lose my focus.  I pig out on my 1 day "off", but if you look at my logs (minus the sick days, I think those are special), I will get in 3-4 days at the gym and think "yay!  I got in 4 days at the gym this week" instead of "I was SUPPOSED to get in 6 days this week..."   I let one little bump in the road deter me from tracking for the rest of the day too.

Same here...I lose focus and willpower and snarf down things that I shouldnt.  I tend to graze too.  Like I start eating and then its hard to stop sometimes.  Not all the time, but sometimes and with some foods.  Like peanuts and such.  Good in moderation, but not good when overdone.  And I have problems sometimes giving foods up or replacing them.  I love crunchy and choclatey or peanut buttery.  I feel like a few pieces of fruit or whatever doesnt make up for the sensory aspect of say granola or a cliff bar or whatever.  Its all about moderation and its all a process, progressive thing.  So count the good days over the bad days and try to have less of the bad days.

BT forgive me for I have sinned. It has been 1 week since my last confession. Here are my transgressions:

1/5: 181
1/12:180
1/19:179
1/26:179
2/2: 179
2/9: 178
2/16: 178
2/23: 180

I was also unfaithful to my long-suffering nutrition plan with two different Chinese buffets, making several trips to one. I also drank a lot of beer after my half-marathon Sunday.

I will now attempt to perfom some sort of restitution. It will probably hurt.

Congrats to those who have remained faithful.
