He is the most loving, sweet boy EVER!! Border Collies are awesome. They require a lot of time and attention, but their loyalty and devotion has won me over. Plus, not very many people can handle their intesity. I consider myself to the human equivalent of a border collie.

My scraggly little dumpster cat, Specs, just a few days after some coworkers found her by the dumpster at work and gave her some milk:
My little dumpster cat

Why yes... yes she was quite ugly. But she was cute, and sweet, and liked to lick my hands.

And here she is now... mean and ornery and likes to bite my hands, ankles and legs, but does enjoy licking my ears and nose. Not in the nose... just on the tip.
Big specs

She is very... um... unique. She has separation anxiety so beats on any door that is closed if I'm on the other side of it. At night she opens the cabinets in the laundry room and slams them shut, then cries at the door because she wants to come in my room. Not annoying AT ALL!

Apparently neither cat has any clue how big they are!

Cats are only as big as the smallest container they can squeeze into. Studies have been done

The only animal that I guess is mine right now is my wife's cat moonshine, that is until we move and I can get a dog again, but I'll share my parents dogs and inlaws dog for now. Here's moonshine (the cat), Tippa (the border collie), Debo or Mr. Deebs or Debopataumus or any of another dozen names we have for him (the black lab mix) and last but not least Tassa (the black lab/chow mix).

Here is Valerie the "seeing eye dog school dropout", er, ah, the "dog that wanted a career change" as the school said.  Otherwise known as "The Best Dog Ever".   Also, a shot of some of my wet pets, aka the koi pond.

Ha ha, I was just reading about a Lab tonight that *almost* made it in Guide Dog school but she was too ball-crazy new owners loved her to death though and she was perfect!

Valerie, beautiful name for a classic blond Lab beauty.

I heartheartheart black dogs with soft floppy ears. Bailey looks very, very smart and I wouldn't say that about cats ... does her fur change color in the cold? (funny song, tulips, heh!)

This thread needed a bump :-D

I always enjoy watching the funny positions this big dog gets himself into...

Jake

His bed got moved to the corner...and nobody puts Jake in the corner...

Jake

This chair was in storage for almost a year...downstairs (and out of the way) for about a month...when it finally got moved to the "main" room of lesiure - it took about 0.1 seconds for the cats to cover it with hair.  (Plus, they decided they didn't need the back on it..that way there is more room for them...)

Valerie looks greats...Labs are the best.....Mine is the black version, and would make a good seeing eye dog until the moment that she would smell food, then blind person on her/his own.

Nela and Foster at Doggy Day Care:

So while I'm here, I'm raising money to benefit the puppies and kittens treated at the Royal Vet's College in London. Oh, and do the London Triathlon. What better place to pimp my charity drive for the kittens and puppies than in the pets thread. Thanks y'all!
