jhouse4 - 2011-05-20 9:44 AM You will be fine!

You are right, it will be fine. Might be the bad Mexican food from last night...smiley

We are going to try to swim at 3:00 and probably drive the bike/run course. Looking forward to meeting some fellow BTrs

I plan on getting there around 2pm and hanging out for a while.  I want to get in the water for a quick swim in the wetsuit.  If the route is the same as last year, I may do a short easy run across the dam.

FYI,

They have posted some pictures on the 3 Discplines Facebook page.  There is no beach this year, it's all under-water.

Water temps reported to be about 65*.

3 pm for a swim sounds good.  I'll probably do a short 20 minute ride and 10 minute run after the swim as well.

I'll be wearing a red bandana and blue compression shirt.  I wear a sleeveless Orca wetsuit.

Did everybody have a good race?

I missed my goal time, but still significantly reduced my time from last year.  That wind on the bike was brutal.

Nice meeting you all, hope to see you next year.

Nice meeting you too Mike!  I missed my goal time as well but had a good race overall and had a lot of fun doing it.

It was nice to meet you and Mike Ransick. I didn't really know what to expect since this was my first Olympic distance, missed my goal time by 20 minutes. Embarassed Agree the wind on the bike was brutal.  Nice race though, I am glad the bad storms missed the area.

DNF

Cramped during swim so bad I hobbled to bike and the wind just drained me. by T2 it took five minutes just from mount line to rack bike.  I was not running 6.2.

Sorry to hear that you had such a bad day.  Are you feeling better now?  No injuries I hope?

My stride was off for several days.  I did an easy 2.5 today and my splits were about what I would expect.

I think that there is an olympic distance in greenville on my weekend off in July so I will have to try this distance again this year.
