Subject: Garmin plugin with Chrome

Lately I have a problem with Chrome on both my work computer(windows 2003/chrome up to date) and home(windows 7 /chrome up to date)

Every time I try to upload a training it says that the plugin was not successfully unlock and it just can't see my watch. But if I try with IE or Firefox I have no problem. I went to the Garmin web site and made sure to upload to the latest plugin version but still no go =/

Anything I can do, I am not much of an IE fan :p

Like I said in my other post, I have the same problem with two different computers

Windows 2003 - Chrome 10.0.648.151

Windows 7 - Chrome 10.0.648.151

install the User-Agent Switcher for Chrome extension.  then set up a permanent setting in the Custom Domain List for beginnertriathlete.com and pick Mac Safari.  That'll trick the Garmin Plugin into thinking it's working in Safari and you'll be good to go.  I'm sure the problem is on Garmin's side and not Chrome or BT.

edit - this is what I have to do on my Mac, but can't hurt to try on Windows.

Awesome!  I can upload w/o opening up a different browser now!  thanks!

It didn't change anything for me. I don't know why but this used to work flawlessly until maybe 2-3 weeks ago.

BTW if I try this Garmin test page http://developer.garmin.com/web/communicator-api-1.8/examples/garminHelloDevice.html it works like a charm.

And this one too http://developer.garmin.com/web/communicator-api-1.7/apidemo/garminDeviceDisplayDemo.html

Make sure that you're going to www.beginnertriathlete.com or beginnertriathlete.com. If you're going from a bookmark that has two or four w's in the address it won't work.

You got it right

My bookmark had HTTPS in it. It is weird that you do not support HTTPS though.
