Yes me.

Red start and number 41960. Hoping to sneak under 4 hours but it will depend on how far back I start as getting through the crowds is not easy.

Am going to the Expo Wednesday lunchtime to pick up my number and race bag.

I am not, but it goes right by my flat. And right by my local pub.

Unfortunately I'll be up playing baseball in Waltham Abbey that day.

When at mile 16 or 17 look for THE SHIP PUB on the southern end of the Isle of Dogs. THere'll be a singer named Matt there. He's really good. My girlfriend will be there, as will all my mates, cheering y'all on!

Good luck!

I would say my race was 2 very different halves. first 13.1 miles in 1:57 so on schedule for a sub 4 as planned. Then I got near to your flat and started to really feel the heat. People were collapsing at 16 miles and I could feel I was getting too hot to carry on at that pace. Stopped to walk whilst I necked a bottle of water and then carried on but was cramping at 18 miles so the last 8 miles was a mix of run and walk to try and combat the cramped calves.

Finally crossed the line in 4:21:24 vowing never again. I am in the ballot for next year !!! funny how time dulls the pain and I want to do it non-stop under 4 hours. More training required.

You can do it. It was kind of hot that day, if I recall.

My first marathon was Chicago '07 (when the guy died and about 500 went to the hospital and they shut down the race) and I swore never again. Eight marathons and an ultra later, I'm still kickin' ... it gets easier the more you do.
