Subject: Can you stream Netflix on Tablets other than iPad?
seams the answer is no.  but i was told iPad doesnt do PDF docs.  I want both, any ideas?

It looks like there might be some Netflix apps available in the Android market - I can't comment on how well they work, though... There's also a Playon app that seems like it might work for Netflix on android devices.

YES you can, here is the scoop...

I have a Ipad 2, you have to get a adapter from the Apple store and a CMD1 (or what ever it is) and plug that into your tv, then the cord into the adapter, then the adapter into the Ipad.
I watch Netflix and Hulu plus, and going to try HBO go.
No problem and was super easy to set up as I am not a techy

Here are the the hitches...
Ipad 2 is 1080 dpi
Ipad 1 is not, so it is my understanding on the Ipad the picture is not as clear on the tv.

But yes you can and it is wonderful.... I am trying to get off Time Warner cable

iPad may do PDF's, but it doesn't run flash video. I went with Xoom because it does, and and because my phone is also a droid, so my calender and contacts are already synced. I keep hearing rumors about running netflix directly on the xoom, but nothing concrete so far.

A great pdf reader on iPad is Goodreader. I think it's $5, but it is totally worth it. Anytime you open a pdf, it gives you an option as to what program to open it in, and if you choose goodreader, you can then save it there. With Goodreader, you can also annotate the pdf- highlight, draw, take notes, etc.- and it saves it directly onto the PDF file.

On other tablets, couldn't you just stream netflix through the internet browser, like on a regular computer? I thought that was the advantage of tablets that are not iPads- you are not limited to apple software restrictions....

no because netflix only supports Window or Mac based operating systems.  there was a rougue netflix/android app but it got pulled.  i am not aware of a windows based tablet.

Netflix is coming for the Android OS.  Not sure when but I do recall a post last summer where Netflix was hiring a team Android Developers.  The job openings were posted on the Netflix site.  This was late summer 2010 so I would assume that the app would be available soon.

My GoogleTV ( which runs android ) has a native Netflix App.  It works very well.  I would think it's only a matter of time before it's available for Xoom and other android powered tabs.

Thanks for the heads up, been waiting for this for a long time. Have Rocky and Bullwinkle streaming on the EVO right now, life is good.

Wonder how long it will be (if ever) before I can stream Netflix to the Android control screen on my treadmill.

I can't find it in the Droid store.  I found something called "Jetflix" but it doesn't stream video.  The same old netflix qeue manager is there, but nothing more.

Ah...here's the problem:

only runs on the following phones:

• HTC Incredible with Android 2.2 
• HTC Nexus One with Android 2.2, 2.3 
• HTC Evo 4G with Android 2.2 
• HTC G2 with Android 2.2 
• Samsung Nexus S with Android 2.3.

There's also word that it won't work on the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets,
