Swam around a little. Last wave.
Swim
  • 32m 46s

Comments:

Sighting awful.
What would you do differently?:

Be a better swimmer.
Transition 1
  • 03m 4s
Comments:

It was a long transition area. Takes a long time to walk with bike out of it. And I was tired. No great problems, I was just moving slow.

Comments:

I passed much more than I was passed, but still did poorly. Means I came out of T1 behind my group.
What would you do differently?:

Be a better cyclist.
Transition 2

Comments:

Slow again. Tired.
What would you do differently?:

Be less tired.
Run
  • 47m 6s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 07m 35s  min/mile
Comments:

Was able to basically run my pace, but felt awful. Almost threw up a few times.
What would you do differently?:

I just need to be in better shape.
Post race
Warm down:

Went to the bathroom. Walked around. Ate free burgers.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Overall conditioning. I just didn't train enough for a distance this long.

Event comments:

Bit of a screw up getting times up. Left before I knew my time. But otherwise very good. Beautiful course.

I think you did great for your first time at this distance.  That swim can be hard to navigate since the buoys are very far apart.  For some, counter-clockwise is harder too (for me it's better, I swim terribly when it's clock-wise).  The bike course there IS hard and you will absolutely do better next time with more training.  You have the aptitude, which was clear to me the first time we rode that course.  Finally, you're a great runner!  Nice work pushing yourself to the limit.
