Hey all -

Kirk and I are headed up to do the 3 Gap Ride on Saturday morning, if anyone wants to join us. This is the first time either of us have done the gaps and I know I will NOT be doing it fast. Total distance looks like 58.4 miles.  Let me know if you're interested!

Thanks for posting the ride and I'm in.

Hopefully some other slower individuals may give this one a shot with us so that I have someone to ride with.  I definitely don't want you two to wait on me.

Now just debating if I should ride my heavy road bike with the granny gear triple or my P2C with the new Compact crank that's arriving later this week.

Hey Justin, let me know what you decide to ride.  I've done 3 Gaps a few times, always with my road bike.  I'm afraid to take my tri bike, but if you do and it's not too bad let me know.  I'm planning on going in a few weeks.

Karen - I don't even own a road bike anymore, so I'm making Kirk do this on his tri bike with me. If I can do this on my tri bike, you certainly can!

Heather,
I thought the gaps was beautiful the last time I road it during the official 3 gap 50 a few years ago.   I'm really looking forward to riding there again.

At this point I am on the fence about this Saturday since I have yet to convince anyone else to go with me.

Could you email me and let me know what time you guys are starting.

We're starting around 8AM - leaving the house at 6:30AM, so we should be ready to go by 8.

Hey everyone - sorry I missed this - probably too late to help you out today. I have been riding the gaps all summer on my P2C/compact with no worries. It climbs just fine and descends great.I am not wild about riding the gaps on the weekend; you all be careful up there! I will be riding the front 3 gaps easy twice around from the Stonepile on Thursday morning. Neels/Wolfpen/Woody, with a bottle exchange at Stonepile, then do it again. Should take about 5 hours total if anyone is interested/available.

We had a great time at the Gaps this weekend. Rode from Lumpkin HS - about 60M round-trip - both on our tri bikes. Only saw one other brave soul on her tri bike and there were a LOT of cyclists out this weekend. Cars were all nice, so no issues riding on Saturday morning.
