Subject: PCB area...GET PAID TO SWIM OR KAYAK

I am looking for 3-4 swimmers and 1 or 2 Kayakers to PAY yes PAY to keep me company while I do some OWS practice in the PCB area August 5, 6, 7 in the AM.  I am training for my first ironman..I am a little nervous about sharks, so I figure why not pay some of you from the area to keep me company while I do my swims.  The swims will be 45-90 in length at a pretty lame pace.  So...if you want some OWS practice and want to earn money for beers after or maybe you live in the area and ride dolphins every day...You dont have to be a Marine commando or michael phelps but locals with a good comfort level in the ocean would be preferred.   Please PM me or call 678-644-3423 for more details.  Thanks!Laughing

Heya Alison!

Fellow Georgian currently down here in Miami area.

By PCB do you mean palm beach county (PBC)?

I happen to be former lifeguard/military/and Fire rescue medic with a kayak to boot! I can assure you the sharks won't stand a chance!  I am training with Leukemia and Lymphoma society for the Miami man 70.3 so I could tag along with you if you like.  I'll try callimg you tomorrow after Brick sessions, probably around 11-12.     (678) 925-9900

Check out the Panama City Cycling and tri group on Facebook. They are very active. Post when you decide where you want to swim. I may be interested in swimming. I may be able to get the SO to paddle. I'm in Fort Walton, but he lives over there.

Thanks for the encouragement...I grew up swimming in the ocean and rationally I know that sharks will leave me alone BUt when I swim, i start getting all nervous...i realy want to be able to just relax and focus on the swimming...lamest part is that I swim in lakes here in GA with all kinda of snakes etc and I dont freak out...guess I watched JAWS too many times as a kid lol...

I'll be in Seagrove, but I'm not yet 100% sure if I'll be there on the 6th or the 7th.
