The Michigan and Wisconsin races for the HITS series have been canceled.  No explanation on there FB post.


I think the explanation can probably be figured pretty easily--I suspect they had about four people signed up for an October triathlon in Northern MI.

There has to be a weekend in late June or sometime in August where traffic is low and they could pull off a race like this.

Now I am anxiously awaiting the guys who put on the TC tri to announce their 70.3. Please, please, please have a 70.3.......

Me too!  Wish they would announce something sooner rather then later.

I'm not certain the registration link was ever open for the two races, or at least it wasn't a week or so ago.  Wisconsin was during the summer months so I wonder if the likes of Racine 70.3 and IMMOO kept folks away from that venue.  Not to mention there fulls have had very few racers, I think under 30 at each of the events so far.

Well that didn't take long. Announced in what Oct? and canceled before we hit February. Wow, gotta wonder what is going through their heads over there.

Plus Rev3 is going to hold one at the Dells this summer.  That has to be a big draw for familys.  We had planned on going, but the wife's job changed and she only gets July off now.  Man, I never get tired of that.....the wife got a better job Laughing

From what I understand it was an issue with working everything out with the city, not a time of year or under attended event. As far as I know they never offically opened registration for it.
