Full Iron (140.6) early bird pricing:

Sept 15 - December 31^st:  $345

Full Iron (140.6) relay early bird pricing (there will be no relay's for 3/4)

Sept 15 - December 31^st:  $445

 ¾ Iron (105) early bird pricing:

Sept 15 - December 31^st: $185

This park is located by Cannonsburg Ski Area (in the vicinity).  There is a huge lake at the park so it should be great swimming.  

I do like that 3/4 distance but the date is just to close to Steelhead.  I"ll most likely be in recovery mode.  

Just saw this today also. I guess I should be extremely stoked as finally a dream come true. Sleeping in my own bed the night before an IM.

Guessing bike course could be fairly hilly. Weather of course will be a crap shoot. Website is up but no more info than really what was already posted.

I wonder what the distance is on the 3/4.  If it's a full swim (2.4) and a half run (13.1) that leaves 89.5 on the bike.  I suppose it's going to involve loops and that is how they come up with the 105.  Lots to think about, should I move my 2013 plans up a year...uhmmm

No, i am pretty sure it is being put on by the same RD's as the GR TRI.

The best way to get updates is on their facebook page at MI iron or GR triathlon.  They do have a swim map up (how exciting ).  Sounds like they have a pretty good idea about the main roads of the bike and run courses.

I am not going to do the race but interested in some rides on the course and volunteering on race day.

Looks like the race got a new name with a new metal - the MI Titanium.

Anybody planning on doing this race in 2012?  I read on FB that they are supposed to be coming out with course maps in the next couple of weeks.  It would be nice if it did well and had a big turnout the first year.

I really wish they would have a HIM option as opposed to the 3/4.  I think they would get a huge turnout for that especially when people are not very excited anymore about that other HIM race in August - Steelhead's lack of a swim and crowded bike/run course since it is close if not the same date.   I cannot imagine that this 3/4 is going to get any sort of draw.  I would sign up for the half today if it was an option.

We're going to be running 12 miles of the course this Sunday (Feb. 5th) @ 9am if anyone is interested.
