Actually we had hundreds of verses to this song and made up more when I was a kid, no need to be baseball-based.

Sadly, this has been on my mind with my recent bout of typhoid and dengue fever. EW.

This is my favorite song.  In the movie Parenthood, which made this song very popular in America, there is no second verse.  When my sister was little (she's 15 years younger), we used to make up different verses.  Best.  Song.  Ever.
