Pro 3903     Andover |  Subject: Congratulations Joanne (Isis54)! :)Hey folks, let’s give a BIG BT CONGRATS to Joanne who placed 1st in her Age Group (I’ll let her tell you the age  ) at the Hammerfest Sprint in Branford, CT today!  I didn’t get the official time but I believe she came in at 1:40:00 and some change. So, CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done, Joanne! Rob |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: Congratulations Joanne (Isis54)! :) I had the great pleasure of getting to start in the same wave as Joanne. We talked about wetsuits, best angle to swim to the finish plus we saw Rob (CptnJackSparrow) finish his swim...he was in wave one and we were in wave five. Being with Joanne helped keep me calm and allowed me not to get any negative thoughts...but half a mile ocean swim as the waves were picking up was daunting. I didn't see Joanne at all on either the bike or run...bike was two laps and run you passed going back and forth a bunch. I'm glad you decided to come down to CT after Try the Tri was canceled!! You rock and are fast!! Big Congrats!! I missed saying good bye to you....it was great fun!! Thanks for running beside me as I made the turn and crossed the finish line!! It made it super for me. |
