The Star Trek series with Scott Bakula was called "Generations" I believe.  I never watched it.  My parents (Trekkies from the beginning of time) liked it.

Personally, I liked TNG.  I never did get into DS9 but that's probably just because I didn't have a TV during that time.

And, for the record, I loved Quantum Leap!

I enjoyed them all.  The series with Scott Bakula was called Enterprise.  Generations was one of the movies that The Next Generation crew made.

I also enjoyed Quantum Leap when it was on.  As well as the British sci-fi shows of Dr Who, Red Dwarf, and Hitchhikers Guide.

See, I was showing my snobbery by pretending I didn't know the name of the Scott Bakula Star Trek.

Red Dwarf! Dr Who! Love those shows.

Quantam Leap was cool. But his agent should be fired for this:

Sorry, I missed the point of that one, but what can I say, I have been a trekkie and whovian for over 20 years now.

I still try to catch Red Dwarf and Dr Who on PBS when I can find them, although it is getting harder to do these day.

The first year of the Next Generation, mostly because of Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby).

I really liked DS9, although the first few seasons were not so great. Once Sisko became a captain and shaved his head, though, the series really improved.

I agree. They worked out their bugs and really pulled it together. When you watch the whole thing start to finnish (just have to put up with the Bejoran stuff, and it's worth it in the end) there's a fantastic arc of story that is very like a great epic journey. The way the series ends is amazing.

I just wish the actress who played Jadzea Dax would have stuck it out for that last season. Not like she had anything better to do! I have fantasies that they will digitally re-work the last season using previous clips of the original Dax. I'm such a dork. I even call my bike "The White".

But you gotta love the baseball analogies. It is coporeal. It is linear.

TOS for daring to do something on TV that had never been done before, and for not underestimating its audience

TNG 'cause Patrick Stewart can really chew up the scenery.

DS9 ditto Avery Brooks.

(yes, I am a geek)

Ok... you guys are geeks. This is too much even for me.

Although, I thought Queu or Q or Kue or whatever his name was was kinda hot the first time he was on whichever one he was on.

Yes, I admit I'm a geek.  But that's ok.  All my friends are geeks too.

My BF got the DVD set for Babylon 5 and we've been watching an episode every couple of nights.  I'm rather enjoying it.

My mom has been raving about this "new show on SciFi" called Firefly.  I hated to burst her bubble on that one.  But I can say the movie "Serenity" is EXCELLENT!

Anyone watch The Prisoner?

Not really sci-fi, but I love The Prisoner.  One of the best anti-establisment quotes ever:

"I am not a number, I am a free man."

Yeah...what was up with Dax leaving? The new Dax was just not as entertaining. It was really strange.

The ongoing baseball analogies were awesome. I loved how there was the baseball in Sisko's office and people coming in always gave it a strange look.

In response to some other comments, the actor who played "Q" is John DeLancie.

Firefly is awesome, as is Serenity. I'm very happy that they didn't really change anything in Serenity from the prescreening I saw in May. People wanted some crazy changes.
