Expert  950    McKinney, TX |  Subject: Pity Party...Sorry guys, I've gotta do some major whining this morning. Derek left a few minutes ago to work in Baton Rouge for a month. It's only an hour and fifteen minute drive, but it's 3 hours with traffic these days, and with his early-morning and late-night hours, it's impossible for him to come home. DAMN YOU, KATRINA FOR KEEPING FAMILIES SEPARATED THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!!!!!!! What if he had on the other side of the U.S.? Try to make the most of your time while he's away and keep busy to help pass the time. Just think...being away from another will make ya'll appreciate each other even more  It still sucks, but just be thankful that he's alive and is only gone for a month- at least it's not 6 months or a year! Like I said, it could be worse. Do you get to see him on weekends?? |
