I would have said that I would hire her to work under me. That way it is known that you are in charge and won the contest, yet you still come off as a good guy because she also gets a job.

I couldn't believe what he said!!!  He had absolutely nothing to lose by saying yes but instead chose to feed his own enormous ego.  That reason alone is why he won't be as successful as he might have been with the ability to recognize when letting others shine is to your advantage.  Absolutely unreal.

I seriously thought Trump was going to hire both.  He did the multiple firing thing this season as a twist, so I was thinking maybe he'd do a multiple hiring as a final twist.  I thought for sure it was going to happen when he asked them which projects they would take and they both picked a different project.

I think Rebecca would have been a much better hire than the chick that won last time (I can't remember her name).

Oh, to answer the question, I would have said yes if I were in Randall's place.

First of all, it was a dumb question for Trump to ask Randall.  If he wanted to hire her, fine, but  he shouldn't have put Randall on the spot.  But since he did, I think Randall made the right decision.  He was on the Today show this morning and explained that it is like asking someone who wins a gold medal to share it with the person who came in second.  But I guess I also support his decision because I am not impressed with Rebecca.

I think Randall did the smart thing. I am not worried about Rebecca though. She will be getting plenty of offers. I do hope Trump would give Randall a real job, unlike what happened to the other apprendices..

I was on the track team w/Randy in H.S.  We were in the same graduating class.  I went to the same University as he did (until he went off on that little "Rhodes Scholar" thing).  He  is one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and and (depending on your definition) at 34 has achieved  more success than most ever will.  Enormous ego- couldn't be farther from the truth.

I must say I disagree.  I didn't get the impression that Randall had an enormous ego at all.  In fact, I thought he appeared to be extremely down to earth.  He worked very well with others and treated everyone with a great deal of respect.  If he had a huge ego he could have gone on and on about his education and achievements but I didn't seem him do that.  Actually, my impression was that Rebecca had a bigger ego.

Fun facts on Alla - she's a former stripper (fully nude) at a Las Vegas club, whose "boyfriend" (from his perspective) killed 2 or 3 people (and is currently on death row) so he could get more cash to spend on her. Read on (safe link, by the way):

As for Randall, I think he's just a mediawhore like the rest of them and not agreeing to "hire" Rebecca was fairly classless, but done so she wouldn't steal his time in the spotlight. His argument about "2 gold medals" was crap. I personally liked how the Yahoo! execs had to run damage control and make a big contribution to make up for how stupid they looked for not wanting to solicit contributions. But I'm just mean and like watching reality TV people squirm.
