Pro  4189    Pittsburgh, my heart is in Glasgow |  Subject: We should all move to northern irelandbecause EVERYONE wears day-glo vests!!! I mean, these people are freaking EVERYWHERE. And tons of cyclists!! sorry my internet access has sort of sucked lately, and will for a while. i'm still getting over the culture shock and having a bit of trouble navigating the different slang for things (20 minutes trying to explain what a biohazard bin was...speaking the same language but NOT communicating!!!) . New years was grand, celebrated on Belfast Lough (where I run every day) and watched fireworks. It's wonderful here. Aside from the fact that I was misplaced by the uni I am studying at and no one had any idea i was even here (headache...) and the exchange rate is killing me...all is well. I have a Lithuanian and an Iraqi roommate, and 2 irish girls are moving in tomorrow. it's always rainy here, so i have no excuse to not run, because, well, it's going to be raining later too. speaking of which, i should go. hello everyone, happy new year!!!! |

British... DUDE! Please don't do that! I'm Irish & you're now in very dangerous water, there has been a lot of death/misery etc here over the last number of decades due to "the divide". There is a cease fire in place and its holding but people are still very sensitive about labels. Don't call all people in Northern Ireland "British" like that, its not appropriate or correct. Stu |
