Pre-race routine:

Well, not much of a routine since I had a Master's Swimming Class right before the race. So I swam for an hour then jumped in the shower, rinsed off, changed into my running stuff and hit the road to drive to the race. I forgot to dry my hair but I won't get sick.
Event warmup:

Talking, not much. Did some light stretching. I also forgot to eat.

Comments:

Well, I've been doing this race every first Saturday of the month for two months. Each month I've gotten better. In March I think it took me 29 min. to do this race. Well, I came in 1 min and 40 under my personal best and ran the two miles in 26 min and some change. That's quite an improvement from 15 min miles. My first mile was a 13 min and 01 sec. That was amazing! And I ran the whole first mile (ran only the first 1/2 mile last month!) and ran the last half mile! Woo Hoo. Can you say I'm a stud!!!!

Ron

It is an awesome trail. And today I found that it runs north and south throughout the whole entire city. When I got my bike fixed up I went back to the same trail I ran and did a 10 mile bike ride. It was really cool. The trail runs along the water all the way up to the Air Force Academy which is one of the prettiest places in the world to ride. Woo Hoo. I LOVE COLORADO! Now that I got my bike all fixed up I'll ride to the race next month and ride home - gotta' get in some bricks ya' know!

Ovetta.

Nice job Ovetta. How cool to have the race every month as a training/comparing time for your running. I can say you are a stud!
