Started at the Town Green or whatever it's called. Out down the main road, back, and off to a paved trail. Small rollers. I had done this course before. The time is off my watch.

d'oh- run faster. My legs gave out shortly after Mile 2. I don't get it, why do people who are dragging their legs and flopping their feet seem to go faster than me? I don't think my form is THAT bad. Maybe my legs are just too short.

ugh. fill out the card and walk away. Trying not to cry because I was so disappointed in my time. I really thought I could do better.


I'm too slow. My feet don't move quick enough. I'm too fat. what else? 'nuf whining. shut up.


race started about 30 min late. There were lots of kids from the beneficary schools there with water stop(s) and food/drink tables. The UT folks did the timing, I think, some of the money funds some track scholarships. Lack of volunteers at the registration tables or their inability to smoothly check everyone in was the reason the race started late.
