I'm here!!! I have just overcome seven years of intense pesonal job/school development, during which I had to give up all of my hobbies except alcohol and smoking. But I made it.

I have wanted to tri for years, and now I'm signed up for an olympic distance on June 27, 2004, in Ventura, and the Alcatraz Aquathlon in August. I know this may seem brash, but that's how I am! I have a well of energy inside me.

My problem is, it's hard for me to motivate myself to run in the morning and evenings are now out of the question (my favorite time). I guess I'll have to run at lunch. I think I just answered my own question.

Well, anyway, I'm just really happy about the future.

Any tips on how should I design my workout plan?

Hey Alcatraz is my back yard! where you from American_fu??

Welcome and you'll find lot's of advice and inspiration (and several good laughs) around here. As to training programs, you can look at several on-line options, including a few on this website:

Welcome! You have a lofty goal, but you can do it! Find the time of day that suits you best for training and stick with it. Make it a habit. Put it in the daytimer. Good luck!

Welcome! I wish I had a well of energy inside me--it would certinaly help some days! I also have a terrible time getting up in the morning to train, and end up doing almost all of my training in the evening. Good luck with your training and races!
