Great job everyone!  Now let's hope this snow is less crippling than they are predicting so we can all get our weekend runs in!

I'll be out running my 12 regardless on Sunday. Actaully can be a little refreshing to run in the snow.

(As long as it is not too deep and/or has been plowed some. My neighborhood tends not to get plowed very fast).

I was afraid of the snow, so I bumped up my run distance today from 6 to 8 miles, so that I could pass 30 miles for the month.  This gave me my first ever 20+ mile week.  My knees are aching a bit, so I don't know if I have another in me next week, but I'm in a good position to meet my goal.

I might be someone that people look at my totals and say "Sandbag".  I originally only expected to do 50 miles, but I had never done these sort of distances before and didn't know if I'd even be able to do 6-7 miles at a time.  The fear of my 1/2 mary in March has caused me to hit "put up or shut up" mode.

Great week for everyone and here's to a fun weekend.

Awesome team!!

I also flipped my days and did my LSD run today and will do my trainer ride tomorrow, so my total for the month is up to like 37.5 or something like that (have to look at my log).

Edit: 37.3 miles actually ......... 45.5% done .........

I had been planning on doing 15 miles this week, but between a cold in the beginning of the week and an asthma attack today, I only got in 9.01.  That brings my month total to 19.01 or 38.02%.  Not really where I wanted to be, but I promise that I will do more next week.

I was sick most of the week also. I didn't feel good until Sat. but I got 2 miles in today, so my total for this week is only 2 (sorry). I will run more next week to get back on track.

Updated monthly numbers as of this morning (I went by what people reported and what I gleaned from the logs, so let me know if anything is not accurate).

Runner - total so far / pledged (percentage complete)

AlBearAngel - 8/28 (28.5%)
Artemis - 19.01/50 (38.0%)
cbost2678 - 11.9/50 (23.8%)
chris hughes - 17.3/35 (49.4%)
CubeFarmGopher - 31.05/50 (62.1%)
dare2trimom - 19/50 (38%)
Daremo - 37.3/82 (45.5%)
ejc999 - 34.8/75 (46.4%)
ekl26 - 13/40 (32.5%)
fishnrich - 9.25/30 (30.8%)
karris - 24/40 (60.0%)
kleinrider - 11/40 (27.5%)
PTinVA - 42.1/90 (46.8%)
rrizzo - 37/100 (37%)
skazi - 41/90 (45.6%)

Team overall total so far ........... 355.71/850 miles (41.85%). That is slightly below where we want to be as a team at this point in the game. BUT, that is totally understandable because of a number of our teammates were down with the colds/flu bugs.

For the end of this week (Sun. 2/19) we want to be at 67.86% of our individual goal to keep on track.

We are doing fantastic team. Don't let the colds and the snow bring you down! Halfway through the month basically and we are still kickin' butt!

Alright team, it's time to step it up! Halfway through the month and we are hanging in there well.

But the Florida team has probably passed us for the lead for the overall! We need to get out there and crank the miles!

Remember, it's not about how you play the game, it is totally about WINNING!!!

(No, seriously it is about getting out there and getting that fitness level up! I did my 5.1 mile tempo this morning, let's get out there and crank!)

We are definitely not in the lead anymore ..... in fact we dropped quite a bit.

Here we go for mid-month:

Team Florida Force 50.84%
Midwest Team Roster: 39.65%
Mid-Atlantic Team 41.96%
Crazy Canucks 47.75%
West Coast team: 40.10%
Team Kansas: 43.32%
NE Hummin' Hamsters:45%

I know a lot of people have been sick. Hopefully colds are over so we can get the miles in and get back in shape!

Keep it up team!

Since I didn't do my swim today (shoulder issues from all the snow shoveling - which ironically is now all gone because of the 60 degree days we've been having) I went for a nice recovery run this morning and tacked on a few more miles.

I'm still on a pretty decent pace and will easily hit my goal. Come on team, we can do this!!

I should be within 4 miles of my goal after my race this weekend.  I don't suppose upping goals or exceeding them would help the team average, would it?  I did this on purpose so that I could have recovery time, but now saying that I will only run 3.5 miles between Saturday and the end of February seems ridiculously low.  This of course assumes that I am at least able to hobble across the finish line tomorrow.

Unfortunately they do not count mileage above and beyond, but it is awesome that you are close to it already! My projected training plan has me easily hitting mine as well, but it will not actually happen until next Sunday.

Good luck in your race! Run smart and do your best!

My mileage goal includes my marathon next Sunday (26th), so I won't hit my goal until the end of the month, but I will make it.
