Wow, this is going to be fun!

Jockstraps: all I require is my beer BEFORE the finish line. Got it? Before.

Celeste, we'll have a stick, I'll send you my Freebirds order.

Y'all are gonna be lucky if me and Bill don't drink all the beer before you get there.  Long race.  Might be hot too.

Us....bank on it!

Let me know when the house is booked and is a done deal so I can cancel my reservations at the hotel.  I also might (very weak might) have a friend coming along to jockstrap as well.  We've been friends since 3rd grade and he just recently started training...thinking about doing a tri later this year.

Exactly.

Well maybe if the tub is big enough Derek can make it a hot tub.

So pasta dinner at the house Friday night? We can each bring part of it?

Sounds great to me!  Cabin people haven't returned my message from Saturday, so no confirmation yet.  We've still got plenty of room...the cabin we should be getting sleeps 12.  I'll let ya'll know as soon as it's booked!

It's not a well known fact, but at one point I actually took nearly a year off from my current job to work as a station chef at a four-star Creole restaurant in Houston. So, if you guys have any specific requests for a pre-race meal....lemme know. I don't know if Creole food is the best pre-race fare, but I can adapt to meet the need.

OKAY!  We've got a crib!  http://www.scenicriverprop.com/h15.html

We have it reserved for Friday and Saturday nights.  The total for both nights is $836.00 ($418/night), but obviously we'll split it according to who stays when.  The place can sleep 11, but possibly more on sofas.
For one night:
If we have 11, it will be 38.00 per person per night
10..41.80
9....46.50
8....52.25
7....59.75
6....69.50
5....83.60
4....104.50

The only problem I forsee with this particular cabin is that there aren't 2 million twin beds like the other cabins had.  So Bill and Brandt may have to be kissin' cousins for one night!  We'll give you some privacy...we'll just turn up the radio real loud.

So if we have 4 people for the second night it will be $100 for Sat? Oh well, its cheap on Friday.

I can't wait!

So based on this floorplan the racers get first dibs on the beds and Jockstraps sleep on the sofas/fouton/whatever? Alright!! Derek, you get the floor, I'm with Laurie.

So what you're saying is that I have to shack up with an ex-ranger Creole chef, who will be drinking lots of beer, and comes from a background of "don't ask, don't tell"???  Then I have to somehow wake up the next morning and race?? Sounds like fun!!  Celeste...NO BURRITO for Bill!

I'm in for Friday night, but of course, the sofa or the floor is sounding pretty good right now!
