Question: how many of you are going to the athlete meeting on Saturday at 5? Just wondering if I should make the dinner plans for 6 instead of 5.

Okay, I've been living on my own planet for quite a while and just saw this thread for the first time.  Count my hubby and I in...depending on where the dinner is too, my kids may be a "yes" as well.  Any chance it can be at the B&B it was at last year, or are there too many folks this time around?

Mosasa -

Can I augment my RSVP BY 2? There will be 3 of us coming. My lovely Girlfriend has decided to grace us with her presence and another dear friend of mine decided to surprise me.

Now what's the deal with the 5 o'clock meeting?

OK everyone..here is the info for the Saturday night dinner. We will be meeting at 5pm at Dish, which is withing wlaking distance from the race site. Here are the directions:

http://www.diningatdish.com/showpage.asp?page=baywalk.asp

The concept at Dish is really fun and interseting. You choose your own sauce, pasta, meat, and veggies and they cook it for you on a large grill in the center of the restaurant. That way everyone can have what is good for their own tummy as a pre-race meal. And those of us not doing the race can have the good stuff like the Lemon Curry sauce with tofu, peas, brocolli....uh, getting off track, sorry.

The cost per person is 15.95 and that includes unlimited salad and trips to the grill. Lots-o-food.  We will have a big table in the middle of the restaurant and everyone can have a seperate check.

My phone number is 813-786-4818. Please call me if you have any questions, if you need directions at any point during the weekend, if you need gels, tubes, ANYTHING. I am not racing this weekend so I am happy to help in any way.

See you all in a few days!!!

All knowing MOSASA (Queen of Arizona),
Am I right in reading this is an all you can eat establishment?
If so I may be in trouble Sunday if I can't show some restraint.

I'll keep an eye on you. One trip too many to the grill and I'll take you the evil eye. Or throw your mattress off your truck.

Kids 10 and under: $5.95 for one trip to the grill, or $9.95 for unlimited trips. Hope to see you all there! A child can easily get enough food in one trip. You can load up a LOT of food on each trip.

Jess,
can my mom and I be added to the list for the pasta dinner? Our plans were kind of up in the air without knowing my sister's work schedule but she's working until 0445 Sat morn and then has to be back at work at 7 pm Saturday night so we're trying to convince her to stay in Orlando and sleep.(She works for the Mouse at Magic Kingdom and it's Grad night season) Either way mom and I can make a 5 pm dinner.

Aww Shucks! I wish I could join the pasta crew to meet some of you guys but I'm checking in athletes until 7:30pm so it's a no-go.

I live down the street but have never tried "Dish" let me know what you think. Have a great time!

How late do ya'll think you'll be there?  We have our TNT pasta party that night, but would like to stop by if possible.  Can you tell me how far the pasta party is from the Vinoy?  Is it within walking distance??

Janelle, the red dot is the Vinoy.  Baywalk is around 2nd Ave and 2nd street.

Baywalk's website is: www.baywalkstpete.com

MOSASA:  Looks like we won't be going to the dinner.   It's looking to be too much of a hassle with the kids/prices/picky eaters/behavior/etc etc.  We'll probably eat somewhere on Baywalk and take the kiddies out to Ben and Jerry's before walking around the place, then turning in to the hotel.   I'll probably be wearing my "Lucy" from peanuts shirt.
